The sound of music

theSoundMusicI often get asked what music I play in class and where I got it from. I have a few playlists that I rotate around, and my collection keeps growing! There is nothing like some great music to get the prana pumping!

Here is a 60 minute playlist that I put together for this year’s Yoga Fest…a sprinkling a sanskrit tunes and chilled out beats. Enjoy!

Shiva’s Flute – Shaman’s Dream
Durga Shakti – Shaman’s Dream
Salva Me – Thomas Barquee
Gaytri Mantra (Esha-Bram Remix) – Deva Premal
Bhodi Mandala – Desert Dwellers
Mangalam – Sean Dinsmore
Namah Shivaya – Geoffrey Gordon
Shanti (Peace Out) – MC Yogi
Om Namah Shivaya Gurave – Amy Ippoliti

Other surefire yogi favourites are anything from Snatum Kaur, Deva Premal and Donna De Lory. When I was in Bali I also came across Kirtan singers Edo & Jo. Check out their website www.edoandjo.com. Really beautiful.

We have fallen into the place where everything is music.
